It’s deja vu all over again.
Texas Tech’s problems on defense are well documented and clearly visible, but it was the offense that kept the UTEP Miners in this game.
The Red Raiders were sluggish right off the bat again this week, punting on their first possession after going three-and-out and then yielding a long UTEP drive capped off with a field goal. From there the offense and defense made some good plays, but were inconsistent for most of the night.
It was the same story as last week, really: dumb penalties and turnovers. Besides that, Davis Webb and his receivers were out of sync most of the time except for a few big plays and the defense had a hard time tackling UTEP’s backs.
