One member of the Iowa Hawkeyes will be sidelined for Saturday’s Cy-Hawk game between Iowa and Iowa State.
Junior wide receiver Seth Anderson will miss his second-straight game as Iowa hopes to get him back before the start of Big Ten Conference play.
While Iowa’s offense isn’t known for being a high-flying air raid attack, Anderson offers something unique to Kirk Ferentz’s team. In 2022, Anderson posted 42 grabs for 612 yards and seven touchdowns with Charleston Southern. In 2023, Anderson fell short of that mark with 11 catches for 150 yards and a score.
Anderson’s story is unique as he enrolled at Charleston Southern as an unranked high school recruit. He then transferred to Iowa in 2023 after some impressive numbers with the Buccaneers.
Iowa State enters the matchup against their in-state rivals as 2.5-point underdogs. The matchup in Iowa City kicks off at 2:30 p.m. CT.
