In a tough break for Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys, veteran pass rusher Collin Oliver appears to be done for the year.

After beating Arkansas in double-overtime on Saturday, Gundy commented that he “thinks” Oliver is done for the rest of the season after suffering a lower-leg injury in the first half. Gundy said he wasn’t sure if the injury was a crack or a fracture. For a head coach that rarely jumps the gun on injuries, this is as definite a statement as it gets from the OSU head coach.

After posting solid numbers in his first three years of college football, Oliver was awarded Preseason All-Big 12 honors heading into his senior season. The Oklahoma native recorded 73 total tackles, six sacks, and four forced fumbles in 2023.

An underrated player in his recruiting class, Oliver checked in as a three-star prospect on the 247Sports index. He was listed as the 439th-ranked player in his class, the 49th-ranked linebacker, and the seventh-ranked player in the state of Oklahoma.

Oklahoma State is 2-0 on the season and will hit the road next week to take on Tulsa, before opening up Big 12 play the following weekend weekend at home against Utah.
