ESPN Analyst CRUSHES Big 12 Football Team

After a tough Week 2 loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have not caught many breaks.

That trend continued on Friday with ESPN analyst Tom Luginbill, who absolutely crushed Colorado’s football program on College Football Live.

“I think the problem when we talk Colorado is, we need to remove No. 12 and No. 2 from the equation,” Luginbill said. “If Shedeur and Travis Hunter are not in the equation, how many games would Colorado win?”

With the Buffaloes approaching a tough Week 3 matchup against their in-state rivals, the schedule continues to test Sanders’ team. The Buffaloes play the majority of the league’s projected top teams in 2024 with games against UCF, No. 14 Kansas State, No. 20 Arizona, No. 12 Utah, Kansas, and No. 13 Oklahoma State.

“This problem isn’t about two or three players,” Luginbill continued. “It’s about the entirety of the roster. They’re not good enough. And they’re certainly not good enough in the trenches on both sides of the football. This is going to get harder. Not easier.”

In addition to a sluggish start to the 2024 season, Colorado has been bitten by the injury bug already with multiple players sidelined.

“I think Hardge did something with his foot on one of the punts,” Sanders said following the Week 2 loss. “Shilo, I think, suffered a — I don’t know the extent of the injury, but I know he did something to his forearm that put him out for the rest of the game. Chidoze, I think it’s an AC joint or something like that. I think he’s going to be alright, I think he’s going to consequently play this upcoming week. I don’t know about Shilo.”

Shilo Sanders, starting safety for the Buffaloes, is expected to miss 2-3 weeks of action after breaking his forearm against the Cornhuskers in Week 2. Colorado takes the field next on Saturday, September 14th, at 6:30 p.m. CT.
