On3 Predicts Which Big 12 Schools Will Land 2025 Five-Stars

NCAA Basketball: Big 12 Championship-Iowa State vs West Virginia

In a recent list from On3’s Jamie Shaw, the longtime insider called his shot on some massive names in the Class of 2025.

Shaw took a stab at predicting where each player would commit and mentioned a total of five Big 12 teams in the process.

FIVE-STAR SF AJ DYBANTSA

The top-ranked player in the Class of 2025, five-star small forward AJ Dybantsa, features multiple Big 12 programs in his top seven cutdown list. His recruitment focuses on BaylorBYUKansas, Kansas State, Auburn, Alabama, and North Carolina.

Despite rumors of BYU riding some momentum with an alleged astronomical NIL offer, Shaw predicted Alabama would land the Utah prep product with 30% confidence. However, he did list the Cougars as the biggest threat to Alabama.

FIVE-STAR SG DARRYN PETERSON

Another five-star in the Class with multiple Big 12 teams on his cutdown list, five-star SG Darryn Peterson included Kansas, Arizona State, and Kansas State in his top eight alongside Kentucky, Louisville, Washington, Ohio State, and USC.

Shaw placed his prediction for Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks to land Peterson with 60% confidence. His team to watch out for is Ohio State.

FIVE-STAR PF KOA PEAT

Five-star forward Koa Peat has set official visit dates with Arizona State, Arkansas, Duke, Baylor, and Arizona. While the list features multiple Big 12 schools, the two programs most mentioned regarding Peat’s landing spot are Duke and Arizona.

Shaw predicted that Duke would land Peat with 30% confidence but that the Wildcats would be listed as the biggest threat.

FIVE-STAR SG ISIAH HARWELL

If you’re tuned in to Heartland College Sports, you’d see our story regarding one Big 12 team surging for five-star guard Isiah Hawell. That team is the Houston Cougars, who Shaw picked to land Harwell with 60% confidence. The team to watch as a threat is Gonzaga.

FIVE-STAR PF BRYSON TILLER

The final player mentioned in relation to the Big 12 Conference is five-star power forward Bryson Tiller. (No, not that Bryson Tiller). Tiller hasn’t released much info on his future plans or visit schedule, but Shaw placed a prediction for the Kansas Jayhawks to land the blank native with 20% confidence. Indiana is the biggest threat to Bill Self and company.
