Towards the end of the 2023-24 women’s college basketball season, the Iowa State Cyclones caught fire and made it all the way to the Big 12 championship game before losing to Texas.

The Cyclones earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament and defeated the Maryland Terrapins in the Round of 64.

Freshman star Audi Crooks put together a stellar season with averages of 19.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. She ranked 36th in scoring and 22nd in field goal percentage with 57.7%.

Crooks took the college basketball world by storm with a 40-point performance against Maryland while making 18 of her 20 field goal attempts.

Not only is she a dominant scorer in the paint, but she is a great playmaker for her position, as she dished out a career-high six assists in a loss to Oklahoma on Feb. 10.

Iowa State finished 2023-24 with an overall record of 21-12, placing fourth in the Big 12 Conference. The 6-foot-3 rising sophomore led the team to several ranked wins over No. 24 West Virginia, No. 7 Kansas State, and No. 4 Baylor.

Crooks finished with eight double-doubles for ISU while grabbing 12 or more rebounds in four games last season.

Iowa State women’s basketball hasn’t released its full schedule yet, but has its earliest scheduled 2024 game against the defending national champions, South Carolina.
