In an interesting Sunday development from 247Sports, multiple experts placed predictions that Dave Aranda and the Baylor Bears will flip Texas Tech linebacker commit Kaleb Burns.

Burns, a 6-foot, 220-pound linebacker from Houston, Texas, has been committed to the Red Raiders since July 1st.

Rumors of Burns’ consideration to flip programs stemmed from two reports on Sunday from teams involved in the Texas native’s original recruitment. The two predictions on Burns came from Bears Illustrated’s Will Turboff and Sooners Illustrated’s Collin Kennedy.

Coming out of Cy Falls High School in the Class of 2025, Burns is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 529th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 54th-ranked player at his position and the 78th-ranked player in the state of Texas.

As a junior in 2023, Burns posted some impressive numbers for Cy Falls. He recorded 73 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one interception.

While Burns has yet to make any decisions public, the Bears have been on a recruitment hot streak in July. The team has added a total of six different Top 700 prospects, six of which rank inside of the Top 350. Should they add Burns, the group will have landed yet another outstanding prospect.
