2025 Four-Star F Cam Ward Sets Official Visit to Kansas State

NCAA Basketball: Kansas at Kansas State

On Sunday, 2025, four-star small forward Cam Ward announced his cutdown list featuring ten different college basketball programs.

Jerome Tang and the Kansas State Wildcats earned a spot on Ward’s list, alongside Vanderbilt, Michigan State, Florida State, Marquette, Alabama, Notre Dame, Mississippi State, Maryland, and Virginia.

Coming out of Largo High School in the Class of 2025, Ward is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 48th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 14th-ranked player at his position and the second-ranked player in the state of Maryland.

Ward also announced that he would be visiting four schools on his list, Kansas State, Maryland, Michigan State, and Alabama. The Wildcats secured the first stop for the Maryland native on September 13th, followed by Maryland on September 21st, Michigan State on September 28th, and Alabama on October 12th.

Ward spoke on the Wildcats in an interview with On3’s Joe Tipton, saying, “I love Kansas State. They have an all-black coaching staff, and that speaks out to me so much. They’ve been so consistent with everything and just a great program with Coach Tang.”

The visit is set for the Wildcats’ Week 3 non-conference clash on the football field with Arizona, at which Ward and the K-State Basketball staff will likely make an appearance.
