The Oklahoma State Cowboys plan to stripe the stadium on Saturday when they host the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 2 of the 2024 college football season.
This was originally announced over the summer, but on Monday the Cowboys made the announcement on section-by-section colors as fans start turning their attention to Week 2 of the college football season with the Big 12 vs. SEC match ups one of the best in the early kick off slot this Saturday.
Oklahoma State fans are being asked to wear white or orange, depending on the section that you will be sitting in. Oklahoma State opened the 2024 football season with a 44-20 win over South Dakota State on Saturday, while Arkansas rolled Arkansas-Pine Bluff with a 70-0 victory.
The two teams are meeting for the first time since 1980 when Arkansas won 33-20. The Razorbacks won the last five meetings from 1976 to 1980. Overall, Arkansas leads the all-time series 30-15-1.
Oklahoma State’s last win over Arkansas came in 1975 when the Pokes won 20-13 over the Razorbacks when Jim Stanley was the head coach in Stillwater. That capped off a three-game winning streak for OSU in the series. The only other time Oklahoma State has won three in a row vs. Arkansas came from 1943 to 1945.
Kick off from Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday is set for 11:00 a.m. CT.
