Deion Sanders Provides Injury Update on Shedeur and Shilo Sanders

While Colorado took a beating in their Week 2 loss to Nebraska, they also suffered some significant setbacks in the injury department.

On Monday, Deion Sanders shared a social media post from the hospital with his son Shilo, who suffered a forearm fracture against the Cornhuskers.

In his post-game comments following the loss to Nebraska, Sanders spoke about his team and outlined some key injuries to both of his sons.

“I think Hardge did something with his foot on one of the punts,” Sanders said. “Shilo, I think, suffered a — I don’t know the extent of the injury, but I know he did something to his forearm that put him out for the rest of the game. Chidoze, I think it’s an AC joint or something like that. I think he’s going to be alright, I think he’s going to consequently play this upcoming week. I don’t know about Shilo.”

With many on the internet crushing Shedeur Sanders for leaving the game early with two minutes remaining, Sanders noted that his star quarterback suffered some injuries in the outing.

“And Shedeur got dinged a bit on that, what’d they call it, intentional, helmet-to-helmet, targeting,” Sanders continued. “He got dinged a little bit. So we just wanted to take care of him and get him out of there.”

While the timetable for Shilo Sanders‘ return is still up in the air, he will undoubtedly miss some time with his injury. As for Shedeur, pending another update from Deion Sanders, the Colorado signal caller’s injury did not appear to be too heavy as Sanders walked off the field under his own power.
