Oklahoma State Basketball Adds Four-Star SF

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers head coach Steve Lutz talks to his players during a timeout during NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament game against the Marquette Golden Eagles, Friday, March 22, 2024, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Marquette Golden Eagles 87-69.

On Friday, Steve Lutz and the Oklahoma State Cowboys added a future piece to their depth chart with the addition of 2025 four-star forward Ryan Crotty.

Crotty, a 6-foot-5 forward from Virginia, became the first high school addition under Steve Lutz in Stillwater.

An impressive player in his class, Crotty received offers from 17 different programs, including West Virginia, Miami, Iowa, Maryland, DePaul, Butler, Mississippi State, Clemson, and more.

Coming out of Miller High School in the Class of 2025, Crotty is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 90th-ranked player. He also checks in as the 14th-ranked small forward in his class and the fourth-ranked player in the state of Virginia.

“Everything on the visit just felt right,” Crotty told 247Sports’ Brandon Jenkins. “I liked the coaching staff’s belief in me as a player. Coach Lutz was straight up with me throughout the process and showed me how I could be successful. They showed me how I would fit into their system and why it would work well.”

Crotty announced his commitment to OSU after visiting the Cowboys over the weekend. He decided to commit ahead of his three remaining visits to Miami, Virginia Tech, and Clemson.
