Following an interesting Week 2 slate in the 2024 college football season, the AP Poll dropped their picks for the Week 3 Top 25 on Sunday.
Five teams from the Big 12 were ranked, including No. 12 Utah, No. 13 Oklahoma State, No. 14 Kansas State, No. 20 Arizona, and No. 21 Iowa State.
Kansas (22), BYU (2), UCF (1), and TCU (1) also received votes in the Preseason AP Poll.

While Utah, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, and Arizona all remained in the poll, Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks dropped out of the Top 25. In addition to the shuffling of Kansas, Iowa State earned its first placement on the list, jumping from unranked to No. 21. Oklahoma State and Kansas State both rose three spots on the list, while Arizona and Utah both stayed put.
When looking at the Power 4 Conferences, the SEC leads all conferences with eight ranked teams; the Big Ten falls just behind with six ranked teams, and the Big 12 has five teams ranked in the Top 25, and the ACC falls in last place with four.
