TCU added to the Big Ten’s misery with a dominant 30-7 win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Here are some observations from the win:
1. Fast from the start: For the second time in as many games, TCU started fast and put a touchdown on the board almost immediately. The Horned Frogs started on defense this time, but a two-yard run, followed by an incompletion and a sack ended Minnesota’s drive. Cameron Echols-Luper took the punt back to the 18-yard line, setting TCU up for a quick drive. On the third play, Trevone Boykin hit Josh Doctson with a fade in the corner of the end zone to give TCU a 7-0 lead just 2:12 into the game. The fast start put the Frogs in control, and they never relinquished.
