Although the game between Baylor and Utah last week — and the Arizona-Kansas State game on Friday — included two Big 12 teams, the first game to count toward the Big 12 race will be happening on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas.

There, the TCU Horned Frogs (2-0) will play host to the UCF Knights (2-0) in the first-ever meeting between the new-age Big 12 programs.

The Horned Frogs and Knights have assembled two of the most talented rosters in the league, and on Saturday night, they’ll pit those rosters against one another. With a win, one of them will jump out to a 3-0 start, but more importantly, a 1-0 start in Big 12 play.

This is an incredibly important game for both teams, and it appears the TCU fan base is fully aware of that. Not only is this being dubbed a “blackout” game, but the Horned Frogs and Knights will be playing in front of a sellout crowd at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

UCF brings the No. 1 rushing offense in the country to town after piling up an average of 419 yards on the ground through the first two games. However, the Knights have yet to face a caliber of team that resembles what they’ll see on Saturday.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT on FOX, with TCU being favored by just under a field goal at home. If you haven’t already, check out our preview of the matchup here, including betting lines, game information, and a prediction on the outcome.
