Watch: Brock Purdy’s Reaction to Cy-Hawk Win is Must-See

NCAA Football: Camping World Bowl-Notre Dame vs Iowa State

The Iowa State Cyclones beat Iowa on Saturday 20-19 in one of the best games in the rivalry’s history. And former Iowa State quarterback and current San Francisco 49ers signal caller Brock Purdy was seen reacting to the last-second victory on social media.

Here’s the video of Purdy’s reaction to the Cyclones victory, which he was never able to accomplish against the in-state rival during his time in Ames.

Iowa took a 13-0 lead into halftime, but it was the Cyclones who woke up offensively in the second half and came back to win the game in the final seconds.

Kyle Konrardy made a 54-yard field goal with six seconds left to give Iowa State a 20-19 victory over No. 21 Iowa on Saturday, only the Cyclones’ third victory in the last 11 games against the Hawkeyes. However, Iowa State has won two of the last three in the series.

“You’ve got to focus, not on the mistakes, but focus on what’s next,” Konrardy said after the win. “Part of it was just not even think about the mistake, but focus on what I could do now.”

Iowa State is now 2-0 on the season and will host Arkansas State next Saturday, September 14th. Meantime, Brock Purdy and the 49ers host the Jets on Monday Night Football to kick off their NFL season.
