Ahead of the 2024 college football season, On3 ranked its top 10 Group 5/FCS transfers in the Big 12 Conference, with Baylor QB Dequan Finn coming in at No. 1.

Finn, who started the last three seasons with Toledo, threw for 2,657 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2023 to lead the Rockets to an 11-3 record.

Toledo reached its third straight bowl game before losing to Wyoming 16-15.

Finn threw for 230 yards or more in six games for Toledo, including a season-high 407-yard performance in a win over Eastern Michigan.

Not only is the star quarterback a great passer, but he is also a threat through the ground game, as he rushed for 563 yards and seven touchdowns last year.

Kansas State transfer Easton Kilty, West Virginia transfer T.J. Jackson, Arizona transfer Tre Smith, and Colorado transfer Justin Mayers round out the top five.

Baylor struggled with the passing game last season under quarterback Blake Shapen, who was limited to only 13 passing touchdowns.

Head coach Dave Aranda is under a lot of pressure heading into 2024 after a disappointing 3-9 finish last season, as the Bears open up as hosts to Tarleton State on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. EST.
