Kenny Dillingham and the Arizona State Sun Devils are getting a big piece of their squad back on Thursday night for a matchup against the Texas State Bobcats.
While the team has had a stellar rushing attack thanks to a veteran offensive line and senior running back Cam Skattebo, ASU will have another back return to action for the first time in 2024.
According to multiple reports, USC transfer running back Raleek Brown is active and will make his 2024 college football debut with the Arizona State Sun Devils in Week 3.
Coming out of Mater Dei High School in the Class of 2025, Brown was one of the nation’s top running back prospects. He was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 42nd-ranked player. He also checked in as the third-ranked player at his position and the second-ranked player in the state of California.
Due to a struggle with the injury bug during his first two seasons of college football, Brown’s numbers were limited. In two seasons with the Trojans, the California native recorded 45 carries for 243 yards and four scores. He also added 19 catches for 193 yards and three scores in the pass-catching game.
Brown makes his season debut as a redshirt sophomore after seeing action in 14 games as a true freshman in 2022. Primed for a monster year in ’23, Brown was limited due to injuries and played just three games before using a medical redshirt.
Now, in Tempe, the former four-star prospect is set to contribute to one of the hottest teams in the Big 12 Conference as they get set for a Week 3 matchup vs. Texas State.
