Former Georgia Tech Guard Dallan Coleman Transfers To UCF

Former Georgia Tech guard Dallan Coleman transferred to the UCF Knights after three seasons with the Yellow Jackets, per his X.

 

In the 2023-24 season, Coleman averaged 5.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.6 assists including a 24-point outing in a loss to UMass-Lowell on Nov. 14, 2023.

The former four-star recruit from the Class of 2021 has one year of eligibility remaining.

Coleman averaged a career-best 9.5 points and 2.9 rebounds in the 2022-23 season while starting 31 of 33 games. That season, he dropped a season-high 21 points to lead the Yellow Jackets over Virginia Tech.

After completing their first season in the Big 12 Conference, it has been a very busy off season for the Knights.

Head coach Johnny Dawkins has brought in several transfers including Jordan Ivey-Curry (UTSA), Keyshawn Hall (George Mason), Rokas Jocius (La Salle), Mikey Williams (Memphis), Benny Williams (Syracuse), and J.J. Taylor (Memphis).

Guards Jaylin Sellers (15.9 points per game) and Darius Johnson (15.2 points per game) are both expected to return and lead the way for UCF this upcoming season.

The Knights went 17-16 last season and finished 11th in the Big 12 with their season coming to an end in a loss to South Florida in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament.
