Arizona’s Caleb Love Withdraws from NBA Draft

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament West Regional-Arizona vs Clemson

Pac-12 Player of the Year, Caleb Love will return to play his final season of college basketball with the Arizona Wildcats after testing NBA Draft waters, per his social media.

Love led the Wildcats to first place in the Pac-12, finishing with a record of 27-9. He concluded the 2023-24 season with averages of 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.

The 6-foot-4 guard reached career-highs in points, rebounds, and field goal percentage (41.3%).

Love was named Third Team All-American due to his ability to score the basketball at a high level. He reached a season-best 36 points in a win over Oregon on Jan. 27, while also scoring 25 or more points in six contests.

He arrived in Tucson after playing his first three seasons with the North Carolina Tar Heels. In Chapel Hill, he helped UNC reach the 2022 National Championship.

Sophomore KJ Lewis also withdrew from the NBA Draft after competing in the combine. This offseason, Head Coach Tommy Lloyd secured the commitment from Horizon Player of the Year, Trey Townsend (Oakland), so the Wildcats will be ready to pick up right where they left off.

With the program making the move to the Big 12 Conference ahead of the 2024-25 season, the team will be battling with the Kansas Jayhawks, Houston Cougars, Baylor Bears, and several other tough opponents for the Big 12 Title.
