Kansas State vs. Arizona: Early Line Movement Suggests Big Bettors Pick Side

NCAA Football: Kansas State at Texas Tech

This Friday night, Kansas State and Arizona meet up in a non-conference game, as both teams had previously scheduled this meeting before the Wildcats (the Arizona ones), were planning to join the Big 12.

So the game will go on, but will not count towards the conference standings. That being said, it will be one of the more intriguing Week 3 Big 12 football games, and already the big-money bettors have taken a side that’s different from Average Joe bettor.

According to WagerTalk, the Kansas State vs. Arizona line opened up at Kansas State -7, and while 84% of the total tickets have been placed on Arizona to beat the spread, the line has not moved with most sports books.

That would suggest that the big money wagers are coming in on Kansas State, hence why the line is not moving, despite 84% of the total tickets coming in on the Wildcats of Arizona.

Arizona has two of the biggest offensive stars in college football this season with quarterback Noah Fifita and wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, but Arizona was trailing Northern Arizona at halftime this past Saturday and has looked spotty on the offensive line and defensively, at times, through two games.

Meantime, Kansas State eked out a win on the road against Tulane on Saturday, and while it wasn’t pretty, the Wildcats got the job done.

These two teams have met seven times in their history, but not since 1978, when Arizona won 31-0. Arizona holds a 5-1-1 edge all-time over Kansas State.

Kick off Friday is set for 7:00 p.m. CST.
