Arizona State, Gonzaga to Begin Home-and-Home Series in 2024-25

Arizona State University head basketball coach Bobby Hurley is interviewed on TNT's pregame broadcast Men's before the NCAA national championship game at State Farm Stadium.

According to a report from Jon Rothstein, Arizona State and Gonzaga have agreed to begin a home-and-home series on November 10, 2024.

The game coming up in a few months is scheduled to be played in Spokane, Washington, with a return game to be played in Tempe during the 2025-26 season.

Rothstein goes on to say that there is no timetable for an official announcement from either school.

Adding a nonconference bout against the Zags is not only a major move for Arizona State, but for the Big 12 as well. Gonzaga has advanced to every Sweet 16 dating back to 2015 and has made Elite Eight appearances in three of the last five tournaments, including 2021 and 2023. The Zags finished the 2017 and 2021 seasons as the national runner-ups and are expected to be contenders yet again in 2024.

Meanwhile, Arizona State is heading into its 10th season under Bobby Hurley and is hoping to get back to the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25 despite moving into the toughest conference in America.

The Sun Devils most recently made a tournament appearance in 2022-23, but bowed out in the Round of 64. Despite three appearances in 10 seasons, the Sun Devils have yet to win an NCAA Tournament game under Hurley.
