Deion Sanders Media Sycophants Can’t Help Themselves

It was just a routine Monday morning.

I was scrolling through Twitter—or X, I don’t know, but I still call it Twitter.

Anyway, I was scrolling, and I stumbled upon this tweet.

I have no qualms with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

In fact, I am all for having fun and throwing the pigskin around—even that dog in the video was having fun.

The problem I have here is with the account that posted the tweet (NFL Rookie Watch).

Legendary standup comedian Ron White once said, “You can’t fix stupid,” and this is a textbook example of the kind of ignorance he was referring to.

I don’t claim to be an “Einstein,” but the level of stupidity in this tweet is off the charts. I mean, this is Billy Madison levels of dullness.

First, they mention Patrick Mahomes and say that the Big 12 has never seen a quarterback of Shedeur’s caliber before.

You literally just name-dropped PATRICK MAHOMES.

You know, the guy who played at Texas Tech, which, the last time I checked, is, in fact, a Big 12 school?

For crying out loud, Mahomes is a two-time NFL MVP and a three-time Super Bowl MVP.

Anyone who watched him play at Texas Tech knew how talented he was, and that is exactly why Andy Reid selected him in the first round in 2017.

Beyond Patrick Mahomes, the Big 12 has seen multiple superstars at the quarterback position.

In the last 13 years, this conference has seen guys like Robert Griffin III, Baker Mayfield, and Kyler Murray—all of whom won Heisman trophies.

Go a little further back, and you’ll find names like Sam Bradford, Jason White, and Eric Crouch. That’s six former Big 12 quarterbacks who have won a Heisman in the last 25 years.

That’s not to mention Caleb Williams’ time at OU or Jalen Hurts in 2019. Have you ever heard of Colt McCoy? Vince Young?!

Hell, Brandon Weeden, Seneca Wallace, Graham Harrell, and Landry Jones all had incredible collegiate careers while in the Big 12.

You see, this conference has had some great quarterbacks over the years and anyone who argues against that may need to seek help immediately.

Is there something NFL Rookie Watch needs to tell us? Is Deion Sanders paying him, or is this just Deion’s burner?

I mean, the guy was on social media last week blasting people because he was bored, so I don’t honestly believe he’d have a burner account.

So, NFL Rookie Watch, I thought you might need someone to inform you that this isn’t the Pac-12 (R.I.P.) or the Big Ten. Talented quarterbacks are a part of the Big 12’s DNA. It’s always been that way, and we will continue to see that for years to come.

I just thought I would take time out of my day to educate you a little bit. Please thank me later by refraining from tweeting lies about this conference ever again. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
