Five-star tight end Linkon Cure is set to announce his college decision on July 1 and multiple Big 12 schools made his final list of four, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
The 6-foot-6 offensive weapon is the No. 28 prospect in the Class of 2025 and will choose between Kansas, Kansas State, Oregon, and Texas A&M.
Cure is a Kansas native and will play his senior season at Goodland High School.
In an interview with On3, Cure talked about his visit with Kansas and spoke highly of head coach Lance Leipold saying, “The culture there is amazing and it is a program on the rise. What coach Lance Leipold has done there and what he’s doing there has completely changed that program and I’m really excited for their future.”
Kansas finished with its most wins in a season since 2007 with a record of 9-4, and defeated UNLV in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl for its first bowl win since 2008.
In regards to his visit with Kansas State, On3 reports that Cure said “The leadership there and the coaching staff are great. I really love everything about Kansas State. I love what coach Chris Klieman has done there.”
Kansas State placed fourth in the Big 12 last season, finishing 9-4 and Cure will boost the offensive firepower of the Power Five program he commits to on July 1.
