On Tuesday, Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys added a new name to the Class of 2025 with a three-star quarterback headed to Stillwater.

Utah native Jett Niu announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Tuesday, choosing the program over nine different schools.

Coming out of Lehi High School in the Class of 2025, Niu is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 1427th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 78th-ranked player at his position and the 15th-ranked player in the state of Utah.

Greg Biggins of 247Sports evaluated Niu ahead of his OSU commitment, saying, “Niu had a breakout junior season a year ago throwing for 2,812 yards and 31 touchdowns. He shows good pocket presence and feel. He can extend plays and looks just as comfortable throwing outside the pocket as he does from within it. He’s a really good touch passer with a nice feel for layering the ball between defenders. He doesn’t run a ton but does show the ability to take off when pressured and could even run some zone-read. He has a quick release and can get the ball out from different arm angles when needed. He’s not going to wow you with his arm strength, but it’s functional, and he’s able to throw with good timing and anticipation to compensate.”

With his commitment, Niu became the Cowboys’ 17th addition to the Class of 2025 alongside players like four-star defensive lineman Michael Riles, three-star tight end Isaiah Butler-Tanner, three-star linebacker Donovan Jones, and more.
