Iowa State Sets Date for 2023 Spring Football Game
After a disappointing year in 2022, the Iowa State Cyclones are ready to turn the page to 2023 and one of the major steps in doing so is the annual spring game.
On Wednesday, Iowa State announced that its annual spring game will be played on April 22, 2023, to conclude its spring football activities.
Spring practice will kick off on March 22, with four practices taking place before the calendar turns to April. Then, the Cyclones will have 10 additional practices in April before it all concludes on the 22nd.\
By the time April rolls around, college football fans will be yearning for some action again, and the excitement of seeing next year’s team in action a few months before the scoreboard matters is always a great time.
With Matt Campbell and the Cyclones missing a bowl game for the first time since 2016, there are expectations of a turnaround. There are also four new faces in the Big 12, one of which has already made a rival out of ISU. Unfortunately, the Cyclones and Golden Knights won’t meet on the field in 2023, that is, unless it’s in the Big 12 Championship game.
