PFF Lists Colorado CB Preston Hodge as Its Highest-Graded Transfer

NCAA Football: Colorado at UCLA

PFF College’s continued its list of ranking the highest-graded transfers for each team and Colorado cornerback Preston Hodge received a very high value of 90.0.

Hodge joined the Buffaloes ahead of the 2024 college football season after spending his last two seasons with the Liberty Flames.

Last season, the 5-foot-11 cornerback totaled 42 tackles, eight pass deflections, one forced fumble, and two interceptions.

The Flames finished the regular season 13-0, before falling to Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl, but Hodge still helped the team place No. 25 in the final AP poll.

One of his biggest highlights of the season was a 62-yard pick-six in a 49-25 win over Massachusetts on Nov. 18, 2023.

Colorado’s secondary struggled last year, allowing 276.9 passing yards per game and 34.83 points per game, however the Buffaloes started off strong in 2023 with a 3-0 before losing eight of their last nine games.

With star cornerback Travis Hunter back for CU, expectations are very high for head coach Deion Sander’s cornerback unit.

CU is back in the Big 12 Conference for the first time since 2011 and will begin conference play on Saturday, Sep. 21 at home against Baylor, before traveling to Florida to take on the UCF Knights on Saturday Sep. 28.
