After sharing photos from his official visit to Manhattan on Monday afternoon, Illinois transfer Coleman Hawkins received a flood of social media responses from college basketball fans worldwide.
One particular fan took a shot at Kansas State, which Hawkins recently visited, which prompted the senior forward to clap back at the Cyclones fan.
The Iowa State fan responded to Hawkins’ photos with a comment that read, “With this addition, you guys could make it farther in the NIT this year.”
Hawkins, a former member of the Illinois team that ended the Cyclones’ 2024 NCAA Tournament run, shared a photo of himself throwing down a dunk in the Illini’s 72-69 Sweet 16 win. Hawkins posted a stat line of 12 points, six rebounds, and three assists in the matchup.
While Hawkins decided to troll one of Kansas State’s rivals, his college decision is still up in the air. Kansas State is in the best position to land the former Illini after his official visit, but things can change fast in the world of college athletics.
