Bijan Robinson, Tyree Wilson Among 17 Prospects Invited to NFL Draft
Every year there are a host of players invited to the NFL Draft, and this year that list includes a pair of representatives from the Big 12 Conference. Texas running back Bijan Robinson and Texas Tech EDGE rusher Tyree Wilson will be among the 17 prospects welcomed to the 2023 festivities in Kansas City, Mo., the NFL announced Thursday.
The others include USC wide receiver Jordan Addison, Alabama EDGE rusher Will Anderson Jr., Alabama safety Brian Branch, Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter, Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers, Oregon cornerback Christian Gonzalez, Ohio State offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr., Kentucky quarterback Will Levis, Penn State cornerback Joey Porter Jr., Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson, Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, Georgia Tech EDGE rusher Keion White, Illinois cornerback Devon Witherspoon and, last but not least, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.
As for the two attendees out of the Big 12, Robinson just finished up a marvelous career on the Forty Acres in which he racked up 3,410 yards and 33 touchdowns on 539 carries. He added another 805 yards and eight scores on 60 receptions out of the backfield.
Wilson, meanwhile, only recorded 15.5 sacks, 29 tackles for loss and 109 total stops during his time with the Red Raiders. That included career-highs of seven sacks, 14 tackles for loss and 61 total tackles this past season.
The two will hear their names called a couple weeks from now, as the 2023 NFL Draft is set for Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29.
