Look: Final Bedlam Basketball Game Ends on Overtime Buzzer Beater

NCAA Basketball: Brigham Young at Oklahoma

If this is it for Bedlam on the hardwood, it has ended in incredible fashion.

Javian McCollum hit a step-back, contested three-pointer as time expired in overtime and Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State 84-82 in Stillwater.

Here’s a look at the shot.

Oklahoma improved to 19-8 overall and 7-7 in Big 12 play with the win, while Oklahoma State falls to 12-15 overall and 4-10 in conference play.

McCollum finished with 14 points and he was 1-8 from three-point range before the game-winner. The Sooners snapped their two-game losing streak with the victory, while the loss ends Oklahoma State’s two-game winning streak.

This could be the end of Bedlam, as OU is set to join the SEC in July.

However, Oklahoma head coach Porter Moser said earlier this week he hopes it’s not the end.

“I personally don’t think this is the last time we play,” Moser said. “I see a world where this great rivalry continues. I don’t know when that is based on a lot of logistical factors. But I see a world in which this great rivalry continues.”

After the way Saturday ended, let’s hope these two teams agree to a non-conference match up, at least in basketball, in the future. It will be great for both programs and the entire state of Oklahoma.
