Avery Johnson, Arch Manning Crack Top 10 NCAA Video Game Athletes

While the college football scene hasn’t had a featured video game release since the 2014 season, with the announcement of the games return set for 2024, 247Sports released their picks for who would be the most fun players to use.

Three members from the Big 12 Conference debuted on the list with a trio of quarterbacks in the top 10. Kansas State’s future signal caller Avery Johnson headlined the bunch with the third spot on the list, while a pair of Texas QBs split the seventh spot with Arch Manning and Maalik Murphy.

The dual-threat playmaker from Wichita Kansas checks in near the top of the list behind South Carolina’s Nyckoles Harbor, and Colorado’s Travis Hunter. Avery Johnson is graded as a four-star prospect by 247Sports index, and is one of the biggest names to land in Manhattan in program history.

Texas’ roster has been labeled as the best roster in college football by multiple analysts and at the heart of that is the quarterback position. Both Arch Manning and Maalik Murphy have some major upside with the Longhorns as Manning ranks as the top player in the class of 2023, and Murphy ranking as the ninth QB in the class of 2022.

The Big 12 Conference features some of the best young talents at the quarterback position on a national level, and the conference should continue be in great hands, once both Texas and K-State turn the keys over to their young QBs.
