2025 Four-Star F Xzavion Mitchell Commits to Iowa State
TJ Otzelberger and the Iowa State Cyclones added a new name to the Class of 2025 with the commitment of four-star forward Xzavion Mitchell.
Mitchell announced his decision to join the Cyclones on social media with a caption that reads, “Ames, here I come.”
Coming out of North High School in the Class of 2025, Mitchell is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 120th-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 29th-ranked small forward in his class and the third-ranked player in the state of Wisconsin.
With his commitment, Mitchell became the Cyclones’ second player to commit in the Class of 2025, joining three-star point guard Macari Moore, who announced his decision on March 18th.
The recent success among top recruits follows an impressive season in Ames. TJ Otzelberger led the Cyclones to a second-place finish in the Big 12 Conference with a 28-7 overall record and a 13-5 record in league play.
Mitchell, Moore, and the rest of the future Cyclones will have an opportunity to watch their team play next on Saturday, March 23rd, at 5:10 p.m. CT against the Washington State Cougars.
