Look: Josh Pate Ranks Big 12 Football Programs
Ranking lists are a thing. Love it or hate it, they are one of the conversation pieces that get us through the offseason.
You’ve seen all kinds of them, and no matter how much thought, data, or analysis goes into them, someone is going to argue or try to discredit every list that comes out. That’s just part of the fun.
One of the biggest voices in college football stepped up to the proverbial mic in his latest episode of “Late Kick,” as Josh Pate ranked the Big 12 programs heading into the 2024 season.
This is one of those lists that seems to have a lot of thought and analysis poured into it, and the rankings are actually quite interesting, and indicative, of what we’ve seen from the schools’ on-field performance over the past few years.
Pate says that there were four factors used to rank the programs, which were each taken over the last three years: on-field production, talent acquisition, stability, and resource pool. Here’s how he ranks the Big 12 programs (not 2024 teams) right now.
