Tommy Lloyd and the Arizona Wildcats are losing a key player from their 2023-24 squad, as sophomore guard Kylan Boswell has entered the transfer portal.

Boswell committed to Arizona in the Class of 2022 as a five-star prospect and spent two seasons under Tommy Lloyd.

Boswell will be a hot commodity in the transfer portal this offseason and is sure to have no shortage of suitors. The sophomore guard started 35 of 36 games in his sophomore season, averaging 9.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.

Coming out of high school in the Class of 2022, Boswell was listed as a five-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 25th-ranked player. He also checked in as the fourth-ranked player at his position and the second-ranked player in Arizona.

Boswell became the second notable Wildcat to hit the portal in the last two days, joining senior center Oumar Ballo in departing the program.

With two key members of the team electing to transfer in search of greener pastures, Tommy Lloyd will have some new spots to fill this offseason. Still, with this offseason shaping up to include one of the busiest portal cycles in college basketball history, Lloyd should have some options available for replacement.
