To say that Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark is always on the go is an understatement.

On Saturday, Yormark was seen in Paris supporting Big 12 athletes competing in the 2024 Olympic Games and delivered a message to the league’s fans, supporters, and competitors.

“Greetings from Paris Big 12 fans,” Yormark said. “So thrilled to be here. It’s just a wonderful moment. Over 151 of our student-athletes, both former and current, are here in Paris. They represent over 45 different countries. I’ll be seeing quite a few of the events over the next couple of days, and I just wanted to say hello and wish all of our athletes a great experience here in Paris.”

Yormark’s plan to attend the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris follows some of his comments at Big 12 Media Days in Las Vegas. Yormark openly discussed the idea of furthering the league’s footprint, and one facet of the plan was to strengthen the league through competitions like the Olympics.

With strategic hiring, content creation, and uniquely forward-thinking, Yormark has positioned himself at the forefront of collegiate athletics and continues to increase the Big 12’s global influence.
