Jordan Travis Explains Why He Wishes He Broke His Leg Earlier in the Season
The College Football Playoff Committee elected to leave the Florida State Seminoles out of the 2023 CFP for the likes of Michigan, Washington, Texas, and Alabama.
While the committee may not use the injury to Jordan Travis as justification for leaving the Seminoles out, Jordan Travis responded on social media mentioning his wish to break his leg earlier in the season so that the committee, “Could see this team is much more than the quarterback.”
Despite finishing the season off with a perfect 13-0 record becoming ACC Champions in the process, Florida State narrowly missed out on the CFP.
The Seminoles finished with wins over No. 13 LSU, Southern Miss, Boston College, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Duke, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, Miami, North Alabama, Florida, and No. 16 Louisville in their perfect season but will now set their sights on Georgia in the Orange Bowl.
Florida State Head Coach Mike Norvell spoke on the decision in an outraged fashion saying, “I am disgusted and infuriated with the committee’s decision today to have what was earned on the field taken away because a small group of people decided they knew better than the result of the games. What is the point of playing games?”
Florida State (13-0) takes on Georgia (12-1) in the Orange Bowl on December 30th at 3:00 PM CT at Hard Rock Stadium in Florida.
