Donald Trump Says Florida State was Treated ‘Very Badly’ by CFP Committee

Everyone has had an opinion on Florida State getting left out of the College Football Playoff on Sunday. And on Monday, former President Donald Trump joined the conversation on his Truth Social account, writing, “Florida State was treated very badly by the ‘Committee’. They become the first Power Five team to be left out of the College Football Playoffs. Really bad lobbying effort … Lets blame DeSantimonious.”
Now for those not in the political landscape, that’s his nickname for Florida Governor and political rival Ron DeSantis. Meantime, the former President did leave out a word, and an important one, “undefeated”. Florida State is the first undefeated Power Five team left out of the CFP. But I suppose we could be splitting hairs.
In what is the last year of the four-team Playoff, I’d like to think we can move beyond these conversations starting next year, but something tells me it will just continue, this time with teams 11, 12, 13 and 14.
