TCU Horned Frogs Women’s Basketball 2023-24 Roster Preview
The TCU Horned Frogs are preparing for the 2023-24 women’s basketball roster and below is a preview of every player on the roster entering November’s opening game.
Below are the returning players, the transfers and the freshmen that will play a role in TCU’s upcoming season.
Expected to Return
Tara Manumaleuga
The 5-foot-10 guard is back from last year’s team after she averaged 5.8 points in nearly 21 minutes per game. She was also one of four TCU players with at least one steal per game. The senior from Australia started half of TCU’s games a year ago, and she’s focused on trying to get the start in every game in her last season in Fort Worth.
Knisha Godfrey
The 5-foot-9 sophomore guard shot out of the gate last season with a 26-point game in the season opener against Lipscomb. But she finished the season with 4.4 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. She was a part-time starter for the Horned Frogs. Perhaps the coaching change will unlock more production for the former Mississippi State transfer.
Bre’Yon White
The 5-foot-11 forward averaged 12 minutes off the bench last season but scored less than two minutes per game. The junior was once at Oklahoma so she knows the Big 12 well. She’s another player that could benefit from the coaching change and a chance in the system in Fort Worth.
Paige Bradley
The 5-foot-10 guard averaged less than four points per game for TCU last season. She played 27 games, made 11 starts and got plenty of run. The question is how the junior will fit into what Campbell wants to do with the Horned Frogs this season. She’s a Dallas, Texas, native and a former Top 100 recruit.
Aaliyah Roberson
The 6-foot-2 forward played in 19 games and played less than 10 minutes per game. She averaged 1.9 points and 1.4 rebounds a year ago. She’s talented and gets a clean break with a new coach entering her sophomore season.
DaiJa Turner
The 6-foot-3 forward played just seven minutes last season. She was a redshirt the year before. So the sophomore is just looking for a chance to show she deserves more playing time. She’s probably competing with Roberson for playing time behind Sedona Prince.
Arrival Via Transfer
Madison Conner
The 5-foot-11 guard is one of a boatload of transfers to join the program as the Horned Frogs change coaches from Raegan Pebley to Mark Campbell. The junior used to be at Arizona, where she played nearly three season and scored 337 career points. She’s never been a full-time starter, so that’s the goal as she continues her career. Something to watch — she shoots nearly 38 percent from the 3-point line.
Agnes Emma-Nnopu
The 5-foot-11 senior guard played at Stanford for three seasons. She won a national title ring, but only averaged 3.2 points last season. When given the chance to shoot, she is a 42.6 percent shooter from behind the 3-point line. She didn’t play enough to qualify, but it would have been No. 13 in the NCAA if it had.
Sydney Harris
The 6-foot-1 guard/forward from Central Michigan should make an immediate impact at a position of need. The MAC Freshman of the Year averaged 17.4 points per game last season en route to MAC Freshman of the Year honors. She also earned All-MAC Third-Team honors. She played nearly 36 minutes a game last season.
Una Jovanovic
The 5-foot-8 junior guard is a transfer from Cal State Fullerton who was All-Big West Second Team last season and led her team with 14.6 points and 3.8 assists per game. The Horned Frogs have had trouble scoring the past two seasons, so a scorer of Jovanovic’s ability would be welcome.
Jaden Owens
The 5-foot-7 guard, who is a graduate student, transferred in from Baylor and should stabilize the point guard position for the Horned Frogs. The former five-star recruit averaged a career-high 8.0 points, 5.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds last season for the Bears, as she helped them reach the NCAA Tournament. Her offensive numbers could see another jump this season.
Sedona Prince
The 6-foot-7 senior forward was a big get for the program. Prince was the first transfer to commit to Campbell after he took over at TCU. The former Oregon player — whom Campbell recruited while a Ducks assistant — is a former five-star recruit that missed all of last season with a broken elbow. For her career at Oregon, the Liberty Hill, Texas, product averaged 9.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. If TCU gets a healthy Prince, she’s a game-changer.
Class of 2023 Recruits
Jade Clack
Pebley’s final signing class featured this 6-foot guard/forward from Austin (Texas) High School, a Top 100 player per ESPN. Keeping her is a big deal for Campbell and the program’s future. She was a 2023 McDonald’s All-American and a district MVP.
Victoria Flores
Like Clack, the 5-foot-8 guard is a Top 100 recruit that Pebley signed and chose to stick around under Campbell. She’s from Duncanville, one of the true girls’ basketball powers in Texas and just a half-hour from TCU’s campus. But, she’s coming off an ACL tear that prevented her from playing last season.
