No. 1 Player in Class of 2025 AJ Dybantsa Lands Offer From Utah
On Wednesday, the Utah Utes joined the list of several Power Five programs that have offered a scholarship to the No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2025, AJ Dybantsa, per his X.
The 6-foot-9 forward attends Prolific Prep located in Windsor, California and is set to graduate in 2025 after reclassifying from the Class of 2026.
Dybantsa has picked up offers from several college basketball powerhouses including Duke, Connecticut, Houston, Kansas, Kentucky, and North Carolina, according to 247Sports.
The five-star prospect has averaged 23.7 points, currently the third most on the NIKE EYBL 17U AAU Basketball Circuit. He has continued to polish his all around game with averages of 5.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists this Spring.
The Utes finished the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 22-15, ranking sixth in the Pac 12 and were led by senior center Branden Carlson. He averaged 17 points and 6.6 rebounds as Utah’s season came to a close in the semifinal round of the NIT in a loss to Indiana State.
Ahead of this upcoming season, Head Coach Craig Smith has secured several transfer portal additions including Miro Little (Baylor), Zach Keller (Wake Forest), Mason Madsen (Boston College), and Keanu Dawes (Rice).
