After previously committing to Miami on May 30, four-star wide receiver Waden Charles reopened his recruitment and chose the UCF Knights to play under head coach Gus Malzahn for his college career, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
The 6-foot-3 four-star prospect is ranked as the No. 327 overall prospect in the Class of 2025, according to 247Sports.
Charles chose the Knights over Arkansas, Florida, and Louisville, becoming the 12th player from the 2025 cycle to commit to Central Florida.
The rising senior will play his final season of high school football for Palm Beach Central High School in Wellington, Florida, where he totaled 478 yards and seven touchdowns during his junior year.
Charles became the fourth four-star prospect from the 2025 class, joining safeties Kendarius Reddick and Tony WIlliams, as well as running back Taevion Swint,
UCF just completed its first season playing in the Big 12 Conference and made a bowl game, before falling to Georgia Tech, to finish 2023 with an overall record of 6-7. Running back RJ Harvey had a strong season last year, totaling 1,416 yards on the ground.
New Hampshire will travel to Orlando to take on the Knights in the first week of the college football season on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. EST.
