Two teams from the Big 12 Conference remain in hot pursuit of a big name in the Class of 2025, with four-star safety Ladarian Clardy releasing his official countdown list on Saturday.
Of the ten teams featured, Colorado and UCF are joined by Georgia, Michigan, Florida State, Washington, Ole Miss, Miami, Florida, and Mississippi State.
Coming out of Escambia High School in the Class of 2025, Clardy is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 178th-ranked player. He also checks in as the 15th-ranked safety in his class and the 21st-ranked player in the state of Florida.
Five of Clardy’s ten teams featured in the cutdown list have already received visits from the Florida native, including Washington on May 3rd, UCF on May 31st, Florida State on June 7th, Mississippi State on June 14th, and Ole Miss on June 21st. In addition to the five previous visits, Clardy has also set an official visit date for Miami on July 27th.
Should Colorado or UCF land Ladarian Clardy, his addition would be a sizeable boost for both teams’ recruiting classes. The Buffaloes have had a slow start to 2025 and currently hold the nation’s 81st-ranked group, while Gus Malzahn and the Knights have continued to win key battles, earning the nation’s 26th-ranked unit.
