2025 Three-Star OL Ren Brown Commits to Texas Tech

NCAA Football: Texas Tech at North Carolina State

Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders added a new player in the Class of 2025 with the commitment of three-star offensive lineman Ren Brown.

Brown, a 6-foot-6 tackle from Nebraska, chose the Red Raiders over offers from 11 different programs, including Kansas State, Oregon State, South Dakota State, Eastern Michigan, and more.

Coming out of Stanton High School in the Class of 2025, Brown is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 1462nd-ranked player. He also checks in as the 112th-ranked player at his position and the 11th-ranked player in the state of Nebraska.

“Firstly I want to thank all of the coaches that have recruited through this process,” Brown said in a post. “Secondly, I want to thank all of my coaches who have pushed me to become the best man and player I can be, especially my head coach, David Stoddard, and coach, Matthew Peter. Lastly and most importantly, I want to thank my parents for always being there for me to lean on and guiding me through life. With that being said, I’m blessed and happy to announce I am committing to the University of Texas Tech!! Guns up!!”

With his commitment, Brown became the 16th commitment to the Red Raiders’ 2025 recruiting class, joining a group headlined by four-star wide receiver Tristian Gentry, four-star quarterback Lloyd Jones, and four-star wide receiver Bryson Jones.
