With conference realignment taking over the headlines, some storylines seem to take a backseat in the college football world. However, there’s a change in Lubbock, Texas, that has people all over the panhandle of the Lone Star State getting hyped for the upcoming season.
On Monday, Texas Tech officially announced its new uniform partnership with Adidas, and as such, unveiled its new-look football uniforms. The early returns? They’re not just tough, they’re West Texas tough.
After seeing fans from programs like TCU and Baylor share their disappointment with new uniforms, Texas Tech’s fanbase shared quite the opposite reaction about their team’s new threads.
The swap from Under Armour to Adidas proved an excellent decision, as the new uniform providers opted to go with a clean and classic look — and it definitely works.
The all-black combination is my personal favorite, but the option to interchange the classic red, white, and black uniforms and pants with black or white helmets is incredibly clean.
