B.J. Catalon has not practiced yet this week

TCU coach Gary Patterson said he won’t have an update on running back B.J. Catalon until Friday.

Catalon took a hard hit to the upper torso on the last play before the winning field goal at West Virginia. He struggled to get to his feet and reach the sideline in time to prevent a 10-second runoff.

Asked if Catalon had been able to practice this week, Patterson said, “Not to this point.”

Patterson also declined to give an update on receiver Deante’ Gray and defensive end Josh Carraway, but said they were at practice.

Gray left last week’s game shortly before halftime favoring his right foot. He was taped over his shoe on the sideline, and he remained in uniform, but did not return to the game.

Carraway also left the game with a foot injury.

Patterson said linebacker Marcus Mallet is also dinged. He said last week that backup receiver Jordan Moore tweaked an ankle.

“Everybody’s beat up this time of year,” Patterson said. “There’s nobody 100 percent.”

But for Saturday’s game, Patterson said, “There’s only a couple guys that are questionable.”
