Arkansas RB Transfer Dominique Johnson Commits to TCU
Sonny Dykes and the TCU Horned Frogs added a new name to their roster ahead of the 2024 season with the commitment of former Arkansas running back Dominique Johnson.
Johnson, a 6-foot-1 junior from Texas, spent the previous four seasons with the Razorbacks from 2020-2023.
Johnson redshirted as a freshman in 2020, and in three seasons of action, the Texas native posted some solid numbers. The former Razorback carried the rock 136 times for 785 yards and eight scores while adding nine catches for 75 yards and a touchdown through the air.
Coming out of Crowley High School in the Class of 2020, Johnson was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 1608th-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 92nd-ranked running back in his class and the 222nd-ranked player in the state of Texas.
With his commitment, Johnson became the Horned Frogs’ 23rd addition through the transfer portal this offseason, helping contribute to the group earning the nation’s 24th-ranked spot.
Johnson and the rest of the future Horned Frogs will play for the first time in 2024 on Friday, August 30th, against the Stanford Cardinal.
