TCU Women’s Basketball Lands Impact Transfer C Natalie Mazurek

TCU Women's Basketball coach Mark Campbell.

After spending four seasons at South Dakota, center Natalie Mazurek transferred to TCU after missing the 2022-23 season due to injury.

Last season, the 6-foot-2 transfer averaged a career-high seven points, five rebounds, and one assist for the Coyotes.

She averaged 18.6 minutes per game, while appearing in 36 contests, starting in five of them.

Mazurek can stretch the floor, as she shot 37.8% from three last season and 47.6% from the field. She ranked No. 15 in the country in three-pointers among players 6-foot-2 or taller, according to the program’s website.

Her best performance came in a win over Dickinson State on Dec. 10, 2023 when she finished with a season-high 18 points, to go along with three rebounds and three assists. The center had 12 double-digit performances last season as well.

The former Coyote is the sixth transfer to join the Horned Frogs this offseason, along with Deasia Merrill (Georgia State), Hailey Van Lith (LSU), Taylor Bigby (USC), and Maddie Scherr (Kentucky).

TCU is looking to rebuild after a strong 2023-24 campaign, finishing with a 21-12 overall record (6-12 in Big 12 Play). Its season came to an end in the second round of the WBIT in a loss to Mississippi State.
