Class of 2026 four-star quarterback Dereon Coleman has cut his final list of schools down to eight, including TCU and UCF, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Coleman is also considering Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Illinois, Nebraska, and Arkansas.

The 6-foot-1 quarterback is from Orlando, Florida.

During his sophomore season, he led Jones High School to a 10-4 record, throwing for 2,236 yards, 16 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He is a threat when it comes to the ground game as well, as he ran for 247 yards and four touchdowns. The dual-threat pocket passer led the squad to the Florida 3M state semifinal.

On3 ranks Coleman as a top 25 quarterback in his class and according to Rivals, he had 17 offers before cutting his list down, which included West Virginia, Florida State, BYU, UNLV, and Pittsburgh.

The Knights have already received one commitment from the Class of 2026 with wide receiver Keeyun Chapman.

UCF just finished its first season in the Big 12 Conference and finished ninth in the league with a record of 6-7, whereas TCU went 5-7. Star running back RJ Harvey ran for 1,416 yards and reached the end zone 16 times last season for the Knights.
