Considering the five-year gap in his playing career, it would be understandable if Oklahoma State quarterback Daxx Garman struggled early on with decision making.
There’s a huge difference between making smart reads in practice as compared to live action.
But through three quarters and one full game as the Cowboys’ starter, Garman has yet to throw an interception or fumble the ball away.
“That’s a good thing,” coach Mike Gundy said following the UTSA victory. “We’d like for him to make good decisions … taking care of the football is certainly very important when we’re going through this growing stage.”
