Mike Gundy was boiling. So angry that rational decisions and reactions were out the window.
It was third-and-goal with seven seconds left in the first half and quarterback Daxx Garman had just whiffed on a corner-fade route. Oklahoma State was two yards from a touchdown with no timeouts.
The next play was a head-scratcher. Gundy gave the go-ahead for a Desmond Roland run up the middle.
“I should have kicked a field goal,” Gundy said. “But I was still mad because of the last throw … I was so frustrated, that if he wouldn’t have got in, I would have been OK with that, too.”
