Former Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph Autographs Baby After Steelers Win

NCAA Football: Oklahoma State at Texas

While watching former Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph autographing a baby was not on my bingo card for 2023, the era of Mason Rudolph apparently begins in 2024.

Rudolph stepped in for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks with starting quarterback Kenny Pickett on the sidelines with an injury. After leading the Steelers to a 30-23 win, Rudolph was asked to autograph the jersey of a baby on his way out of the stadium.

Rudolph led the Steelers to a win by going 18-24 for 274 yards and helped improve Pittsburgh’s record to 9-7. With the win, Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin locked up his 17th-straight season without a losing season. The 17th winning season secured Tomlin the longest streak in NFL history for a team without experiencing a losing season.

Rudolph has seen the field in three straight games for Pittsburgh and has totaled 37 completions for 567 yards, two scores, and zero interceptions. While it’s tough to say if Rudolph will continue to start for the Steelers, he does sport a 2-0 record while Kenny Pickett has struggled to record wins.

While I don’t anticipate any baby signings in 2024, when covering the Big 12 Conference and some of the big personalities around the league, it’s a safe bet to say anything can happen.
