Mike Gundy wasn’t bashful two weeks ago when asked about Oklahoma State’s goals on offense.
“We definitely want to throw the ball down the field,” he said after the Florida State loss. “We’ve always thrown the ball down the field here. We feel like that opens up our running game.”
Gundy’s wish was Oklahoma State quarterback Daxx Garman’s command on Saturday.
The junior, in his first career collegiate start, looked deep all night against UTSA in a 43-13 win.
Of Garman’s 30 passes, 14 were thrown to targets at least 21 yards downfield.
